Buland Darwaza is the highest gateway in the world and an astounding example of the Mughal architecture. The Buland Darwaza or the magnificent gateway is made of red and buff sandstone, decorated by carving and inlaying of white and black marble. An inscription on the central face of the Buland Darwaza throws light on Akbar's religious broad mindedness.also built by Akbar, the great.

Red Sand Stone Fort built by Akbar, it has the beautifully carved tomb made of marble of Salim Chisti (Sufi Saint and descendadant of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti - Garib Nawaz of Ajmer). Fatehpur Sikri got its name after Babur defeated Rana Sanga at Sikri (Fateh means victory, pur means place). Fatehpur Sikri fort has the largest entrance in the world called Buland Darwaza.
It has a beautiful Jodha Bai Palace beside it. Jodha Bai was Hindu princess from Rajasthan and was one of the three queens of Akbar the great.
